This product is Ally Friendly.
Ally friendly merch is for everyone.
When we see non-Indigenous people wearing our designs, we feel proud that they are repping our merch and culture.
When we see Aboriginal designs in the world, it means Indigenous people are not invisible in the landscape.
But, purchasing from Aboriginal brands, businesses and wearing Indigenous designs alone is surface-level allyship. There needs to be more commitment than just buying from Aboriginal brands and businesses.
Wearing Aboriginal design is not dismantling a system that oppresses Indigenous people. Allies need to do more and learn more. Wearing our tees is a great starting point. We have equipped you with our merch and some of the educational content to go with them. We want you to go out in the world, have these important conversations and find ways to do more and support more.
The full phrase "Always Was, Always Will Be Aboriginal Land" can be traced back to the Aboriginal land rights movement in far-western New South Wales.
The late Barkandji man Uncle William Bates is credited with leading the rallies that birthed the cry, which is now ubiquitous at Aboriginal civil rights rallies.
The phrase came from a conversation in which Uncle William said to his father, "it's not your land anymore, whitefellas own it".
Uncle Jim Bates replied: "No, they only borrowed it; it always was, and always will be Aboriginal land."

So they say we stole this land, Briggs says the children came back, I would like to think we only borrowed it and will give it back to the DreamTime Asp but I wish we left it better than we found it.
I love supporting mob, it’s hard to find companies like clothing the gap that not only spreads the most important message but also backs it with superb quality with their clothing. I’m an educator and it’s so important whatwe wear and who I support and this company is just perfect ! Thank you team for the work you do in spreading love for mob
Excellent service, fantastic clothing.
Beautiful pins and seamless delivery.
I thought I'd got myself into a pickle by chopping the tag of my lovely new cap before seeing what it looked like in the mirror, only to find out that the stitching was a bit off in a noticeable way. Fortunately, I ended up in contact with Sarah and she sorted everything out so quickly, with no issues at all. Thank you Sarah, for being a legend, and thank you CTG for maintaining that standard of quality and customer support. Great experience, will deffo be back!
