Shipping policy

All orders placed through our website and requiring parcel post will be sent with an Australia Post tracking number, which you will receive through email confirmation when your order has been dispatched. 

If you have any questions regarding the where abouts of your parcel please, have your tracking number handy and contact Australia Post directly, as we cannot assist with tracking number inquiries.

Spewin' you really wanted that tee and now it's out of stock!  Don't stress, in most cases an out of stock item will be restocked in 4 to 5 weeks.  The exception is our range of Aboriginal flag products which we no longer sell because of the Aboriginal flag licensing agreements with WAM Clothing. You can read more about that here. Want to be the first to hear when our stock drops and when our new products land then make sure to sign up to our mailing list and follow our socials to be notified first.

Orders are posted through Australia Post. Once we receive your order, we will post your goodies within 3 business days.

We post internationally via Australia Post Air and we ship within 2 business days once we receive the order.

Returns and exchanges

Oops, you made a mistake with your order! 

Maybe you entered the wrong address, size or tee color?

No stress but what you need to do is move quickly because we aim to get our orders out within 24 hours.

Ohhh, sorry!! We're really trying  **facepalm**...Clothing The Gaps are still totally newbies to this whole amazing world of being a well supported brand. 

We love how much our community of supporters has grown so fast, but it means that we've also had to grow our processes quickly too. We're not afraid to admit we're still working it out...and that we struggle with technology at times! We're also training up new staff from the Aboriginal Community to help us manage the load and we thank you in advance for your patience.

We want all our supporters to be 100% happy with your order so, we are more than happy to offer an exchange or refund. 

Couple of things to consider: 

We offer a 14-days Return & Exchange Policy. So you can return your purchase up to 14 days from the day you receive your order. 

There is no return policy on masks.

The Clothing The Gaps fam has the right to assess the age and condition of returned merchandise that has been purchased prior to processing a refund or exchange. The items must be unused. 

The customer is responsible for return postage fees to Clothing The Gaps located in Brunswick, Victoria, 3056.

Customers are strongly recommended to get proof of postage when returning goods to avoid "lost package" situations.

Please visit our Returns and Exchanges page for the downloadable PDF returns form. Please include this when posting and returning your order.

When returned items are received and inspected, the customer receives a confirmation email notifying them about the status of the refund and/or exchange.

We will exchange or refund your order within 10 working days. The refund will automatically be applied to customer's credit card or original payment method shortly after.

All payments for items purchased through the Clothing the Gaps online will be made through a secure payment gateway. A proof of purchase receipt for the transaction will be sent to you along with your purchase. We accept: American Express, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shopify Pay and Afterpay (for Australian customers only).

Clothing the Gaps proudly offers Afterpay to Australian customers as a payment option for purchases made through our online store. Afterpay is an interest free, deferred payment method that allows you to shop now, receive now, and pay later via four equal fortnightly instalments.

Making a payment with Afterpay

You can complete your Clothing the Gaps purchase with Afterpay by selecting ‘Afterpay’ as your payment method at checkout and entering in your existing Afterpay account details or registering for a new Afterpay account. For customers using Afterpay for the first time, your first instalment will be processed at the time of purchase. For existing Afterpay customers, your first instalment will be processed 14 days from the date of purchase. There is no minimum purchase requirement to use Afterpay for online orders, however maximum transaction limits apply to your Afterpay account, which may vary from time to time. You can check your personal transaction limit by logging into your Afterpay account. Afterpay may require ID Verification to use Afterpay as a payment option. For more information on this process please visit the Afterpay Website. Please note, Afterpay may impose late payment fees if you are unable to make a payment by the scheduled date. Late payments currently incur a $10 late payment fee, with an additional $7 fee where a payment remains outstanding for a total period of 7 days. Returning items purchased with Afterpay

Purchases made through Afterpay on the Clothing the Gaps website are subject to the same Returns and Exchange policy as for purchases via other payment methods. Where you are entitled to a refund of your order, any remaining instalments left on your Afterpay payment plan will be cancelled, and the amount paid to date will be refunded to you directly by Afterpay.


All our adult tees are a unisex cut. The sizing is pretty standard but, if you want the specifics check out our sizing charts.

Great question! We think about ethical clothing and sustainability a lot at Clothing The Gaps. 

Where possible we try to make our products in Australia but, due to manufacturing supply chains and costs this is not always possible. 

However we are proud that some, of our products are made in Australia and meet the Ethical Clothing Australia (ECA) accreditation.  This may mean these products might be a little more expensive but, totally worth it because we are keeping our economy and businesses strong locally. These products that meet the ECA requirements will have this logo below in the product description.

We are actually the first Aboriginal Business to get this ECA accreditation! Yay!
