    Treaty acknowledges our past, tells the truth of how we got here and lays the foundation for a just future.

    Victoria is the only place in Australia with a formal Treaty process and has led the way, with the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria signing the very first Treaty on 13 Nov 2025. But we can’t take this moment for granted. A change of government means the work is far from over, and we need to keep these conversations going.

    Together For Treaty

    The journey to Treaty has been years in the making – transparent, inclusive and backed by thousands of First Nations people across Victoria, who've taken part in consultations, truth-telling and designing practical solutions that will benefit our kids, Elders and communities. It's something all Victorians can be proud of.

    But, Jess Wilson has doubled down in her plans to destroy all of this for cheap political points and headlines. It's a disgusting betrayal of Aboriginal communities.
