The "Always Was, Always Will Be" tee carries a statement of resistance, survival, and celebration—a bold reminder that sovereignty was never ceded and that it always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land. This powerful slogan is chanted at First Nations marches and protests and seen on tees and signs across the country.

Designed for impact, this tee features a high-density puff print back piece that adds depth and texture to the message, making it stand out. A pocket square artwork is screen printed on the front.

Crafted from 100% cotton, jersey 280gsm, this heavyweight tee offers durability and a premium feel—built to be worn with pride, time and time again.

This product is Ally Friendly.

Ally friendly merch is for everyone.

When we see non-Indigenous people wearing our designs, we feel proud that they are repping our merch and culture.

When we see Aboriginal designs in the world, it means Indigenous people are not invisible in the landscape.

But, purchasing from Aboriginal brands, businesses and wearing Indigenous designs alone is surface-level allyship. There needs to be more commitment than just buying from Aboriginal brands and businesses.

Wearing Aboriginal design is not dismantling a system that oppresses Indigenous people. Allies need to do more and learn more. Wearing our tees is a great starting point. We have equipped you with our merch and some of the educational content to go with them. We want you to go out in the world, have these important conversations and find ways to do more and support more.

The full phrase "Always Was, Always Will Be Aboriginal Land" can be traced back to the Aboriginal land rights movement in far-western New South Wales.

The late Barkandji man Uncle William Bates is credited with leading the rallies that birthed the cry, which is now ubiquitous at Aboriginal civil rights rallies.

The phrase came from a conversation in which Uncle William said to his father, "it's not your land anymore, whitefellas own it".

Uncle Jim Bates replied: "No, they only borrowed it; it always was, and always will be Aboriginal land."

Always was Always will be tee

Absolutely love the quality as usual. Really heavy material. Was a bit surprised at the raised lettering on the back but love it.
