We found the perfect piece to create with the last of the limited edition 'Tread Lightly' fabric...meet the Tread Lightly Crew!
This is the perfect trans-seasonal lightweight crew that is ideal for layering. Made ethically on Wurundjeri Country, we are in love with this one.

As the Traditional Custodians of this land, Aboriginal people have always nurtured and protected Country and have deep connections to lands and waterways.
To 'Tread Lightly' is a way of being in the world that honours Traditional Custodians and the collective responsibility to sustain Country for future generations.
To 'Tread Lightly' is more than a commitment to ticking the simple eco-friendly boxes, it's also actively supporting climate justice and supporting the shift to a more sustainable future.
These crews are made from the last roll of fabric that we created for Australian Fashion Week 2022.This was a first for Clothing The Gaps with the complete process taking place on Wurundjeri Country. The designing, spinning the yarn, fabric dying, all over screen printing, cutting and sewing and being posted out with love has all taken place within a 25km radius!
We acknowledge the impact of fast fashion on the environment, so let's pick pieces with purpose and commit to 'Tread Lightly' on Aboriginal land.
Designed and made in Melbourne on Wurundjeri Country. Ethical Clothing Australia accredited.

This product is Ally Friendly.

Ally friendly merch is for everyone.

When we see non-Indigenous people wearing our designs, we feel proud that they are repping our merch and culture.

When we see Aboriginal designs in the world, it means Indigenous people are not invisible in the landscape.

But, purchasing from Aboriginal brands, businesses and wearing Indigenous designs alone is surface-level allyship. There needs to be more commitment than just buying from Aboriginal brands and businesses.

Wearing Aboriginal design is not dismantling a system that oppresses Indigenous people. Allies need to do more and learn more. Wearing our tees is a great starting point. We have equipped you with our merch and some of the educational content to go with them. We want you to go out in the world, have these important conversations and find ways to do more and support more.
