Embroidered design depicts Bunjil, a well-known wedge tailed eagle who is the spiritual creator and protector of the Kulin Nation in Victoria.

The word 'NARRM' features on these tees because this is the area on which Clothing The Gaps started and continues to operate. We acknowledge and respect the different meaning the word Narrm has to both Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung people in the Central Kulin Nation.

In Woiwurrung Ngulu, it means 'place'. Wurundjeri use this word to refer to the scrubland (Narrm) of the now Greater Melbourne CBD area. Boonwurrung people use this word to refer to ‘The Bay’ and refers to Port Phillip Bay area of Victoria.

This product is Ally Friendly.

Ally friendly merch is for everyone.

When we see non-Indigenous people wearing our designs, we feel proud that they are repping our merch and culture.

When we see Aboriginal designs in the world, it means Indigenous people are not invisible in the landscape.

But, purchasing from Aboriginal brands, businesses and wearing Indigenous designs alone is surface-level allyship. There needs to be more commitment than just buying from Aboriginal brands and businesses.

Wearing Aboriginal design is not dismantling a system that oppresses Indigenous people. Allies need to do more and learn more. Wearing our tees is a great starting point. We have equipped you with our merch and some of the educational content to go with them. We want you to go out in the world, have these important conversations and find ways to do more and support more.

Very good quality shirt, and the embroidery is all fixed with proper backing and everything. Colour isn't as 'mustardy' as the photos, it really does match the sun on the aboriginal flag. Love that it's a long crop, covers everything I need it to cover. I wear a 18-20 'womens' and got 2XL so it would be an oversized fit, perfect.

Fabulous t-shirt!

I love the fit of this t-shirt and I have received several compliments on the shade of yellow. I don't normally wear yellow but I am comfortable in this! My shopping experience at the store was great and the shop assistants were so very helpful. Thank you so much.
