Can Non-Indigenous people wear our merch?
We get this question a lot, so we're really glad you're here.
We make our pieces for everybody to wear and celebrate! Our clothing works to unite people through fashion and cause. We invite you to wear anything you are comfortable with wearing.
If a piece of merchandise has been designed only for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to wear, we will let you know clearly in product description and title.
Purchasing and wearing merchandise such as jewelry, clothing and tote bags from Aboriginal businesses is one really practical way allies can support the Indigenous Community.

The reality is that there are lots of deadly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and creators which we as a community accounting for only 3% of the Australian population, cannot feasibly support without allies. Many Indigenous businesses and creators create their merchandise for the general population and take pride in seeing their goods being celebrated and worn throughout society by both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
However, this also begs the question: Is it ok for non-Indigenous people to wear Indigenous merch? Indigenous merchandise worn by non-Indigenous people provides representation for our Community. In this way, Indigenous-made merchandise worn by non-Indigenous people may act as a conversation start in spaces where conversations about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and affairs many not have previously occurred. For this reason, it is important that allies know who they're buying from and what the merchandise is about.

Thank you, I have lived in this country for 50 years with no real understanding of what I undertook when I came here to live.
I have lived in many countries across the world and thought I understood. I am now nearing 79 years old and would like to be a little more public about my understanding. I asked a friend what I should do and they recommended this website.
I have always loved the indigenous art and prints and love the merch but was never sure if I was doing the right thing wearing it
I echo the comments above and thank you for taking the time to explain how we allies can contribute to better world for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mobs.

I haven’t seen your clothing yet however I
thought I would just leave a review ,based on the above comments. I am not indigenous but have many relatives that are. To them I am just part of the Mob ! I have had a shrug bought for me recently that everyone loves but so disappointed to find out that it is Msde in China !
Point is tho that most indigenous clothing at the moment is quite wearable.The patterns are interesting, the colours are vibrant and they all tell a story of your creation. But they need to be made here in Australia. I’m sure you have many talented people to do this. Anyway that is it from me..will check out your clothing..
